Field roles tell StoreForms which fields should map to a Shopify customer or company on submit. Set roles on the fields that collect standard data like email, name, and company name.

Email, Phone

Company name, Company VAT/tax ID
Address line 1, Address line 2, City, Postal code, Country
Website, Notes

What roles enable
Create or update a customer action uses fields with the Email, Phone, and Name roles
Create a company action uses the Company name, VAT, and Address roles
Flow trigger payloads include role-mapped values in named properties so you can use them directly in Flow steps
